Howdy all!! I would love to really write a big update, but my To Do List is longer than my left arm...but not my right...hmmm...
Anyway--we are all well and snot free...at least for today! We have had a bunch of goo going around the last few weeks since the holidays, but nothing serious...no one missed school or church or anything...just some general Southeast Missouri, winter goo.
We have generally recovered from all the holiday madness...we had a fantastic Christmas and a Blow Out New Year! (There may or may not be pictures attached...we'll see how that goes!) We really enjoyed the 5 minutes that we got to see our Independence Stinnetts and we had a nice visit with our Quad City Watsons! The girls were so ready to get back to school and back on a normal schedule...okay, maybe that was me, but anyway--it has been good to be back to some form of normal!
Savannah just started getting homework 2-3 times a week this quarter. So far, so good. She thinks it's cool and fun and wants to do it the second she walks in the door! She will also finally be starting in Girl Scouts (Brownies) this month--and couldn't be happier since Sydney got to start at the beginning of the school year! Sydney has always had homework on Thursdays...still does and she is still happy to do it! Peyton couldn't have been happier to get back to speech and Ms. Amy. And Lili--well, she's just Lili, but she has just about gotten over throwing a fit everytime she wants something. She went through some bad weeks right after the holidays--don't know if it was the holidays and its craziness or if it had more to do with her being a bit under the weather or if she was just testing the waters and seeing how much she could whine and cry before "getting it". I apparently lost my mind for a week or two and actually let her get away with it, but then realized it was getting worse and she was just working me over, so she had a couple of long days of trouble with Mom and now she's back to being cute, sweet Lili! *Whew!*
I think my 5 minutes are just about up, but I will say before I go that we are very busy with all the plans for Mom & Dad's 50th Anniversary Bash. We will be expecting to see many of you in March for the big day! Please keep the date in mind and come if you can! We are so excited and I think Mom & Dad are getting excited too...Mom wants to go shop for a new outfit, so that's got to tell you something if you know anything about how much she likes to shop!
I have to go reboot the laundry and clear off some Hot Spots before something ignites! Maybe I'll get enough done that I can pretend to be caught up for a day...that would be very weird...no laundry or dishes for a whole day...
Sorry--I must have drifted off...that last little bit is just nonsense! :o)
Happy Friday!
